Popular entertainer DJ Joe Mfalme and six others will on Monday, April 8, appar before the Kibera Law Courts for directions in the ongoing murder probe.
This follows a physical altercation on March 16, in Kikuyu, that resulted in the death of Inspector Felix Kelian Kintos.
Kintos was attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation at Kabete Police Station.
The court had on March 25, directed that DJ Joe Mfalme, his hypeman, driver, and videographer, together with three other police officers, be detained for 14 days.
They are accused of causing bodily harm to the deceased.
The prosecution told the court that they needed the days to gather sufficient evidence before preferring any charges against the suspects.
Case on removal of Nairobi Public Service Board to be heard today
The Employment and Labour Relations Court will today hear a case seeking to remove the entire Nairobi City County Public Service Board.
Justice Ocharo Kebira set the date after activist Lawrence Oyugi filed a petition on March 25, alleging that the board chairperson and members were illegally appointed.
He emphasised that the entire service board was selected irregularly, without public participation and in violation of the law, warranting its removal.
"The recruitment of the board members was not competitive as the vacancies were not advertised in the local newspapers, long listing and short listing of candidates was not conducted and subsequent interviews conducted,” his petition reads in part.
Following the petition's determination, Justice Kebira instructed Oyugi to serve the documents to the respondents and set the hearing date.
Ketraco boss ouster case
A Milimani court will today determine a case in which Ketraco boss Anthony Wamukota is challenging his removal from office following a recommendation by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
