The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service said only 10 courses have been left for KMTC applicants as the revision deadline looms.

The first revision of courses will run till April 4.

KUCCPS gave those seeking top study from KMTC a list of 10 courses they could choose from.

"Note that any programme not listed has filled up and is not available for revision of choices," the placement agency said.

Among the available courses to choose from is a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.

Students can also apply for a Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics programme or a Diploma in Public Health.

For those seeking to undertake certificate courses, they can apply to study for a Certificate in Community Health Assistant.

Others can apply for a Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology program or a Certificate in Medical Emergency Technician.

KUCCPS said there are still slots in the  Certificate in Medical Engineering programme and the Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics programme.

Other certificate programmes available are in the Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine program and Public Health.

KUCCPS opened its portal for the first revision of courses on March 19.

"The KUCCPS application portal is open for the First Revision of applicants’ choices for placement to Universities, TVET Institutions, Teacher Training Colleges and the Kenya Medical Training College," KUCCPS said.

The first revision allows for students who did not make any application for courses to do so.

Additionally, applicants who failed to secure any course are to apply afresh.

The first application period took place between February and March this year where 2023 candidates who scored above C+ were able to make their applications.

Further, any Form 4 leaver with any KCSE mean grade from the year 2000 to 2023 and who has never enrolled in a tertiary institution can apply for a TVET course.

After the first revision, there will be a second one which will allow those who failed to secure courses before to do so.

However, with each revision stage, KUCCPS removes courses which are already full as part of the options students can pick from.

Thus, in this first revision, courses that have already been filled will not be given as part of the options to choose from.
