Police are investigating claims of a break-in at an office managing a business center in Nairobi’s Kamkunji area, where Sh2.7 million was reported stolen.

Managers at the Kamkunji Business Centre reported to police that the break-in occurred on the night of Sunday, February 11.

The guards on duty were missing when police arrived at the scene, and it is unclear if they were abducted.

Police stated that the suspected thieves gained entry through the main door by cutting the locks. They suspect an inside job may have facilitated the break-in and robbery.

No arrest has been made so far.

Elsewhere at Century Garden along Kindaruma road, Kilimani, Nairobi, suspected thugs broke into two residential houses and stole electronic goods and Sh380,000.

The gang first broke into a house belonging to a Chinese national and tied a house help who was present threatening to kill or harm her.

They then damaged the security cameras before ransacking the house where they stole the cash.

They broke into the second house also belonging to a Chinese national who was away and stole property.

Therein, they grabbed Sh150,000 that was in a drawer, watches and other valuables.

The four thugs were captured by CCTV footage running away carrying a bag immediately after the incident.

Police said they are probing the two incidents.
