Comedian Eric Omondi's wife Lynne Njihia has decried the poor state of roads in Nairobi city.

Through her Instagram, Lynne said many street lights within the city are foul as one is forced to struggle for clear visibility at night.

"Tell me why street lights in Nairobi are installed and not working. You gotta fight for your eyes with full lights," she said.

"Most of them are flashy or totally off."

Lynne went on and said the traffic lights mostly go yellow once it hits 9pm and when it rains, the lights totally stop working.

The comedian's wife further said road maintenance seemingly only takes place during the electioneering period.

"The potholes around Kilimani and Lavington area dreadful too. No road maintenance takes place in Nairobi, only when its almost election time," Lynne said.

It remains to be seen if Omondi, known for speaking up against social ills and holding leaders to account, will amplify his wife's concerns to the concerned authorities.

Lynne and Eric on August 9 welcomed their first child together.

Sharing the exciting news with their fans on social media, Eric posted a picture of his family with the caption, “Princess Kyla Omondi.”

The couple first announced they were expecting a child back in June, news that got netizens quite excited.

In the post, Eric revealed that he was more than elated to have a child of his own after waiting patiently for 41 years.

“It has taken me 41 years but finally God has blessed me with my own. The Fruit of my loins. I feel like Sarah of Abraham of the Bible, she waited all her life for a child of her own. Thank you, baby, for making me a father. And to God thank you for returning our baby to us,” he said.

This was after in November 2022, the couple shared on social media that they had lost their pregnancy through a miscarriage.

“Last night was one of the longest nights of my life. We fought for over 5 hours to try and save our little angel but God had other plans. We never met you but we sure felt you and will forever love you. Respect to all women, no man on earth has that kind of strength. Lynne, stay strong. It is well,” Eric shared.
