"While you were away Your Excellency, there were people who had plotted against me, and I would like to urge the leaders of Kirinyaga to practice peaceful politics. I want to declare in public that I have forgiven Governor Waiguru," she said.
Maina further forgave the youth who had been allegedly sent to beat her up.

The two county leaders clashed after Maina was allegedly attacked during her development tour in her region.
The incident occurred in August after Maina's supporters and those of Waiguru clashed at the Kirinyaga Police Station, where clashes between two factions representing opposing political interests transpired.
Maina had accompanied her client, Baragwi MCA David Mathenge, to the station to provide a statement in relation to allegations involving the vandalism of a county government water project at Mukandu-ini village the previous week.
The woman rep sustained head injuries after which she was transferred to a city hospital for further treatment.
Through her Facebook account, following the incident, Waiguru condemned the act by the youth, saying that she found out about the attack through the media.
“I wish to condemn any acts of violence and reiterate that, no matter the reason we don’t condone tolerate violence, I therefore urge the police to take immediate action against those involved," part of her Facebook post stated.
Five people were charged with the assault and causing Maina grievous bodily harm.
The five accused persons denied the offence and were released on Sh50,000 cash bail.
