Wetangula noted that such interactions guide the business of the house during a session, as well as in a term of Parliament.

The main objective of the leadership retreat, he added, is to provide the leadership of the house an opportunity to take stock of the progress made so far, identify priority business, and share experiences.

“The retreat will further provide an opportunity for the house leadership to chat a way forward with regards to the consideration and processing of business of the house in the current second session and the third session,” he said.

MPs will today proceed on a month-long recess.
