Embattled Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni has said the former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga allegedly was snatched from his lawyers at the DCI offices.

Kioni spoke on Thursday at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road where Njenga was being held for questioning.

He termed the accusations against Njenga as harassment and a political witch-hunt.

"Njenga was lied to. We were consulting when the DCI called him for questioning but they blocked the lawyers and snatched him, " Kioni said.

He said what happened was unconstitutional.

Kioni also alleged that in Nakuru, Njenga was not allowed to take a plea but today within 5 hours of questioning at the DCI offices he was pushed to take a plea.

"They are just harassing him just like they are going to harass Kenyans. They are going to Kiambu courts, but they took him in a clandestine manner, " he said.

Njenga was not seen as he got out of the DCI headquarters as Azimio's team comprising Kioni, Martha Karua, George Wajackoya, and Eugene Wamalwa walked out of the DCI offices.

It is suspected that Njenga was sneaked out in a tinted window vehicle and headed to Kiambu Law Courts.
