Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Monday played host to Colombia Vice President Francia Marquez at the DP's official residence in Karen.
Marquez and her delegation held talks with the Deputy President.
"This morning, I hosted the Colombia Vice President Francia Marquez and her delegation at the Deputy President's Official Residence in Karen, Nairobi, for bilateral political consultations," Rigathi said.
The discussions led to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs)and Declarations for collaboration and cooperation.
The Colombia VP is in the country for a three-day State visit.
The cooperation between the two nations has been extended in a number of fields, including education, health and culture.
Others are trade and several cooperation and engagements in the multilateral arena.
"It is a bold step that will directly contribute to the realisation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda," Rigathi said.
The two countries are looking forward to fostering existing relations and dignifying citizens of both countries — Hustlers and the Nobodies.
Rigathi said that Kenya and Colombia have shared a friendly relationship since 1967.
CSs Rebecca Miano(East African Community), Aisha Jumwa (Gender), among others, were also present at the event.
