My life in danger, car trailing me – Otiende Amollo

Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has alleged he has been trailed by a blue Subaru, to eliminate him. 

In a tweet, the legislator claimed that the car that has been following him has no records but allegedly operates from a police station. 

Amollo lamented about his security detail withdrawal, saying it was done purposefully. 

"Well, I’m not afraid. History is replete with martyrs," he said.

Our attempts to get a comment from the police proved futile.

In his tweet, the MP did not indicate whether he made reports to the police.  

On Tuesday, the Orange Democratic Movement confirmed that security teams for the Azimio La Umoja leaders have been withdrawn. 

They alleged the move came with an order from the government. 

"The Ruto government has ordered the immediate withdrawal of security details of party leader Raila Odinga," the party said on Twitter on Tuesday. 

It was not just Raila's security personnel that were withdrawn, but also those of Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua and  Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

"Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka together with those of other elected leaders in Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition were also affected by the security withdrawal," the party said. 

While addressing the media on Tuesday, Karua said the security details were withdrawn on Monday evening.
