Two men accused of trafficking bhang worth Sh1.3 million were on Tuesday charged.

Ezekiel Ngungi and Antony Ng’ang’a were charged before Kibera chief magistrate Ann Mwangi where they denied any wrongdoing.

The court heard that the accused persons committed the offence on April 17 at Ndunyu market, Dagoreti South, Nairobi county.

The court heard that the said bhang was approximately 45kg.

In court one of the first accused persons said that he was unwell and requested medications urging the court not to grant him a bond.

The magistrate directed that the accused person be taken for medications and that the matter be mentioned later on Friday.
