Kalonzo dismissed any plans to work with the Kenya Kwanza government adding that it was in office illegally after rigging the elections.
This came as the party revisited the August 9, general elections accusing IEBC and the Supreme Court of compromising the polls.
“We thank the people of Kenya who overwhelmingly voted for Azimio La Umoja in the last general elections which we won but was stolen by IEBC,” he said.
Addressing the press in Naivasha on Sunday, after a two-day retreat, Kalonzo said his brigade will not work with the government.
He alleged that they had been approached several times to visit the State House but rejected the invite.
“The Kenya Kwanza government is using the issue of development to woo our MPs and senators but we have rejected this,” he said.
Flanked by members of his party, Kalonzo accused the government of using public institutions and resources to entice individual members in the name of development.
“The government has systematically tried to erode all the gains of multiparty democracy and take this nation back to a one-party state and we shall not allow this,” he said.
On the current economic crunch, Kalonzo lashed out at the government for lying as Kenyans continue to sleep hungry and lose jobs.
He accused the government of feeding the country with GMO maize even as maize in parts of the country continued to rot in stores.
“Today, mama mboga cannot pay rent, the boda boda operators can barely fuel their motorbike while the average mwananchi is overburdened by taxes,” he said.
On the people’s baraza, he said that they would continue to move across the country as they pushed for their victory and address the rising cost of living.
In the wake of the fallout in Jubilee and ODM, Wiper pointed an accusing finger at the government for the current fallout.
In the last two weeks, there have been divisions in the Azimio alliance following a visit by some ODM leaders to the State House leading to a backlash from their party leader Raila Odinga.
Last week, some Jubilee MPs pledged to work with President William Rutos’ government and kicked out their secretary general Jeremiah Kioni and vice chairman David Murathe.
