Linturi promises Igembe Boys new school bus

Out of 260 students who sat for the 2022 KCSE, 247 qualified to university.

Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi has promised Igembe Boys a brand new bus after their good performance in the 2022 KCSE exams.

The CS spoke when he visited the School on Thursday where he shared a meal with students and staff.

“I had the opportunity to share a meal with the students as I congratulated them for their good performance in the 2022 KCSE,” Linturi said.

“I’m proud to note that out of 260 students who sat for the 2022 KCSE, 247 have qualified for direct university admission”.

The CS said that as a token of appreciation to the school, he will assist the school to acquire a new school bus.

"This will replace the old one which I bought during my tenure as Igembe South MP," he told the students.

He also revealed plans by the government to promote 4K Clubs in schools.

The CS said enhancing the role of the clubs in schools will play a major role in boosting food security.

“My Ministry will partner with County Governments to promote 4K Clubs in our schools as a way of boosting food production and encouraging the youth to practice agriculture,” he said.
