Kericho speaker Patrick Mutai has claimed that his life is in danger.

The speaker alleged on Tuesday that a mysterious vehicle has been trailing him in the last two days.

He said in one incident, unknown occupants of the car tried to gain access into his Nakuru residence as he alighted from his official car.

“When I alighted at my home, the unknown persons attempted to gain entry into my home but were repulsed by my security. It's an incident that is traumatising,” Mutai said.

He spoke outside the Nakuru DCI offices where he had gone to make a formal complaint.

Nakuru East subcounty Criminal Investigations Officer George Momanyi said his office has commenced investigations into the incident.

A section of MCAs who joined the speaker regretted that the incident in which some unknown people trailed Mutai fits in the patterns of past kidnappings and disappearances.

“We don’t know why such an incident happened but people should not go to such extremes,” Londiani MCA Vincent Korir said.
