Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome on Wednesday met Senior Regional Security Officer for American Embassy in Kenya Patrick Mills.
The two discussed the sustenance of the bilateral corporation between the National Police Service and the US Government on training under the US Anti- Terrorism Assistance programme.
On December 30, 2022, the IG also held a meeting with a delegation from the Embassy of The People’s Republic of China led by Senior Colonel Qui Yawei a Defence attaché.
According to the NPS's official Twitter page, the two discussed the strengthening of cooperation between police and the People’s Republic of China Police.
"Their discussion centred on the need to advance exchange programs between the two countries to address transnational organised crimes," the tweet read.
Yawei was accompanied by Gao Hongliang a Police Counsellor, and Yan Haiming from Interpol and the Ministry of Public Security, China.
