CS Nakhumicha visits veteran journalist Catherine Kasavuli in hospital

Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha visited veteran Television Broadcaster Catherine Kasavuli at the Kenyatta National Hospital on Thursday.

Kasavuli is currently battling cervical cancer, a diagnosis she announced in November.

“I visited veteran broadcaster Catherine Kasavuli who is recuperating at the Kenyatta National Hospital and prayed for her continued recovery,” the CS said.

The CS is among the many visitors Kasavuli has had over the past two months as she continues to undergo treatment.

In an update on her Instagram page, Kasavuli said she is a strong woman as she thanked people who are praying for her.

"I know I'll fight this. I am currently getting ready for a phase two procedure," she said.

Kasavuli has been admitted to the facility since October 26.

The CS also took the opportunity to visit other patients at the hospital and hear their grievances.

“I listened to their feedback regarding service delivery and together with KNH, we will act on this feedback,” she said.
