Protesters on Tuesday gathered outside Senate chanting songs, demanding for the impeachment of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza.

This came just before the Senate convene to consider the impeachment motion against the first time governor.

The protesters carried placards reading "Incompetence is not gendered. Those who think so are enemies of the Ameru people."
