Gachagua said the youth must desist from cattle rustling adding that the old culture must come to an end.

He further reiterated what the IG of police Japheth Koome and Interior CS Kindiki Kithure have been saying that police can use their firearms to protect their lives.

The DP said the police have a duty to protect themselves first before they protect citizens.

"For police officers to protect you, they must first protect themselves," he said.

Gachagua also warned criminals with guns that they should not try to intimidate officers.

He said it would be impossible to fight with the police.
