Inspector General Japhet Koome is currently attending the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) General Meeting in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
EAPCCO is a regional police body whose membership consists of heads of police organisations.
Their main objectives are harmonising and strengthening police cooperation, joint strategies and sharing of crime-related information.
The body's mandate is to enhance the capacity of Law Enforcement Agencies to combat transnational organised crime.
Koome was accompanied by DCI Mohamed Amin, NPS Director of Human Capital Development Rosemary Kuraru and Director Training APS Ibraham Jillo.
