President William Ruto has warned Kenyans not to default on their Hustler Fund loans.
Ruto said while his administration had moved to rescue them from the borrowing blacklist, they must not abuse that chance.
Saying that the fund will be all-inclusive, the President said borrowers should seize the opportunity to build their credit scores.
"Nobody will be excluded, everybody will be given a chance, those of you who will be given a second chance, do not abuse that use it well... it will work for your future, your families and your businesses," he said.
The president insisted in the need for the borrowers to develop a culture of repaying their loans.
"A friend of mine keeps telling me that every angel has a past, and every sinner has a present and has a future, so even if in the past you have not been good at credit and you have been locked out, you are getting a second chance," he said.
The President noted that nearly 8 million Kenyans had been locked out of the credit system because of defaulting on previous loans.
