DP Ruto to attend Sakaja’s inauguration ceremony at KICC

President-elect William Ruto is expected to be a guest of honour in Johnson Sakaja's inauguration ceremony.

Ruto’s spokesperson Emmanuel Talam confirmed to the Star that Ruto will be at the venue at 10 am.

The Star has also established that the Kenya Kwanza top principals will be among the VIP guests in the ceremony which will take place at KICC.

All the 17 elected Nairobi Members of Parliament, 84 Members of the County Assembly, Senator and Woman Representative will also be in attendance.

Outgoing Speaker Benson Mutura will also be expected to attend the event.

Sakaja will be sworn in as Nairobi’s fourth Governor between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on Thursday. 

Guests are seated at KICC as they get entertained by the Nairobi city county choir at KICC.

Opening prayers will then follow as the Master of ceremony leads the programe.

Justice Roselyne Aburili and assisted by magistrate Caroline Kabucho will administer the oath of office to Sakaja and his deputy, Njoroge Muchiri.

In addition to this, the judge will also administer the signing of the integrity document to the duo.
