United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has clinched a majority of the seats in Nakuru County.
This after the party got the Governor seat won by Susan Kihika who trounced the incumbent Lee Kinyanjui of the Jubilee party.
The vocal Nakuru senator won the race which had attracted 6 candidates with 440,707 votes while Kinyanjui got 225,623 votes.
UDA also clinched the senator's seat won by Keroche CEO Tabitha Karanja who trounced 9 other candidates to get 442,864 votes.
Her closest challenger Lawrence Karanja of the Jubilee Party got 163,685 votes.
Tabitha who is a first-timer in politics came from the corporate sector to garner the most votes in Nakuru County.
The seat for the Woman Member of the National Assembly also went to the UDA party after Lisa Chelule won with 382,143 votes with her closest challenger, Jubilee's Agnes Njambi getting 194,610 votes.
Chelul, who is the incumbent Nakuru Woman representative, successfully defended her seat.
She welcomed the other candidates who did not win the seat to come together and work with her for the betterment of Nakuru County.
With Nakuru having 11 constituencies, the party won 8 out of the 11 parliamentary seats. Rongai parliamentary by-election is to be held on August 23.
UDA won the Naivasha, Gilgil, Nakuru Town East, Subukia, Njoro, Molo, Kuresoi North and Kuresoi South parliamentary seats.
Jane Kihara of Naivasha retained her parliamentary seat with Gilgil's Martha Wangari, David Gikaria of Nakuru town East, Samuel Gachobe of Subukia, Charity Kathambi of Njoro, Kuria Kimani of Molo and Joseph Tonui of Kuresoi South also defending their seats.
UDA, however, lost the Bahati Parliamentary seat to Jubilee after the Incumbent Kimani Ngunjiri was thrashed by former CS James Macharia's PA, Irene Njoki.
The Nakuru Town West seat also went to incumbent Samuel Arama of Jubilee who trounced UDA's Daniel Kamau.
The Nakuru governor-elect might also have an easy time in the county Assembly after UDA clinched the Majority of MCA seats in the county.
UDA party has won over 40 MCAs seats out of 55 wards.
