Jubilee Governor candidate Guyo casts vote in Isiolo

Isiolo Governor candidate Abdi Ibrahim Guyo has cast vote in Wabera polling station, Isiolo North sub-county.

He arrived shortly after 6: 20 am where he voted alongside other residents.

Speaking to the media, Guyo said the exercise was ongoing smoothly despite earlier confusion witnessed.

"The exercise went on well with most of the centres opening at 6 am, while there was a delay in some centres. In Ngaremara polling Station, Bulesa and Oldonyiro voting began at 7.40 am," he added.

Guyo, who is also the Nairobi County Assembly Majority leader, urged residents to turn up and vote.

"Voting is your right and therefore come choose the leaders you want in government. After voting, go home and wait for the results peacefully, he added.

Guyo is seeking to succeed Mohammed Kuti.

Others in the race include former Governor Godana Doyo, former EACC boss Halakhe Dida of ODM and Kimaita Machuguma of the Safina party.

While choosing his running mate, Guyo, who is Nairobi’s Majority leader, went after the 11,000 Turkana votes by picking James Lowasa.
