Ruto to tour Makueni on Friday as he intensifies hunt for votes

Raila will host the Azimio la Umoja Convention at Kasarani stadium on Friday.

Deputy President William Ruto is set for a tour of Makueni county on Friday.

The tour scheduled for Makueni and Mbooni constituencies will see the second-in-command address residents at different times.

In Makueni, Ruto will make stopovers in Matiliku, Kathonzweni, Mavindini and Wote town from between 9 am  and 12 noon.

He will also make three stops to address residents of Mbooni constituency between 1 pm and 3 pm in Kalawa, Mbumbuni and Kikima towns respectively.

Ruto's return to Ukambani comes barely two weeks after he made an extensive tour of Machakos county.

While he will be in Makueni, ODM leader Raila Odinga will be hosting the Azimio la Umoja Convention in Kasarani on Friday.

Raila is expected to officially announce his bid for presidency in next year's General Elections.

On December 1, the DP toured Kaloleni, Mutituni and Machakos town.

He was accompanied by MPs Vincent Musyoka (Mwala), Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town), Nimrod Mbai (Kitui East), and former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama.

On Wednesday, Ruto toured various areas of Kisii including; Kegogi in Marani, Kitutu Chache North, Nyabururu, Kitutu Chache South, Nyanturago in Nyaribari Chache, Masimba in Nyaribari Masaba and Itibo and Nyamache in Bobasi.

This was his second tour of Kisii in less that three months.
