The latest EACC data highlights fluctuations in corruption-related reports received and processed over the past five financial years.
The number of reports peaked in 2022/2023 at 5,252 before slightly declining to 5,171 in 2023/2024 and then dropping more sharply to 4,183 in 2024/2025.
Despite these variations, the number of reports recommended for investigation has remained consistently lower, ranging between 1,846 and 2,207 over the same period.
This gap indicates that only a portion of the submissions meet the threshold for further inquiry.
Overall, the trends reflect ongoing public engagement with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and the persistent need for accountability mechanisms.
