Kenya’s national government recurrent expenditure rose sharply between July and September over the years 2021 to 2025.
In 2021, spending stood at Sh256.42 billion, slightly decreasing to Sh268.1 billion in 2023.
However, a significant surge followed.
Recurrent spending by public offices under the national government surged by Sh86.4bn.
