Conflict and violence uprooted millions across the globe in 2024, with internal displacement figures revealing staggering humanitarian crises.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo led with 5.3 million forced movements, followed by Sudan (3.8M), Palestine (3.2M), Myanmar (1.2M), and Lebanon (1.1M).

These numbers reflect people displaced within their own borders—often multiple times—due to escalating hostilities.

Unlike refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) remain in-country, facing limited protection and aid.

The data underscores the urgent need for conflict resolution and sustained humanitarian support in these volatile regions.
