Kisumu County leads the list with an estimated 135,550 people living with HIV.

It's followed closely by Homa Bay at 109,786 and Migori at 106,003. Together, these three counties account for a significant portion of the national total. Other counties with high numbers include Siaya (93,368), the capital Nairobi (82,820), and Nakuru (65,149).

The coastal county of Mombasa (54,361) and Kiambu (53,718) round out the top eight.

This distribution underscores the geographical disparities in the HIV epidemic and informs targeted public health strategies, according to the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council.
