Kenya on Sunday joined the rest of the world in marking World Teachers’ Day.
The day is dedicated to celebrating the vital role of teachers and their contributions to education.
Observed annually on October 5, the day was first established in 1994 by the United Nations.
This year’s theme was “Recasting teaching as a collaborative profession”.
Overall, without teachers, no one would learn to read or write, do even basic math, or master a host of other subjects and skills that we often take for granted.
