According to The Africa Wealth Report 2025 by Henley & Partners, Johannesburg leads as Africa’s wealthiest city with 11,700 millionaires.
Cape Town follows with 8,500, while Cairo ranks third at 7,400.
Nairobi places fourth with 4,900 millionaires.
South Africa dominates the list, with five additional entries: Cape Winelands (3,800), Umhlanga & Ballito (3,600),
The Garden Route (3,200) and Pretoria (2,400). Lagos, Nigeria (3,400), and Casablanca, Morocco (2,800), complete the top ten.
The rankings reflect concentrations of individuals with USD 1 million or more in wealth as of June 2025, highlighting key economic hubs across the continent.
