Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, popularly known as Kenny G, is an American smooth jazz saxophonist, composer, and record producer, born on June 5, 1956.
He began playing the saxophone at the age of ten and launched his professional career at 17 with Barry White’s The Love Unlimited Orchestra.
He later played with Seattle funk band Cold, Bold & Together and joined the Jeff Lorber Fusion in 1980.
His 1986 album Duotones brought him commercial success after signing with Arista Records in 1982.
Kenny G will perform in Nairobi on September 27, 2025, at KICC.
