Amboseli National Park is located in southern Kenya, near the border with Tanzania, and is famous for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

It covers an area of about 392 square kilometres and is known for large herds of free-ranging African elephants.

The park’s diverse habitats include open plains, swamps, and woodlands, supporting wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and over 400 bird species.

It is one of Kenya’s most popular safari destinations and is accessible by road or air from Nairobi, about 240 kilometers away.

The best time to visit is during the dry season from June to October and January to February, when wildlife viewing is easiest.

Amboseli is managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service and requires an entry fee, with rates varying for citizens, residents, and non-residents.
