Kenya Pipeline Company is transforming lives in Jomvu Kuu by restoring mangrove forests.
Since 2009, the initiative has created jobs, funded education, boosted incomes, and promoted eco-entrepreneurship.
So far, 100 hectares of degraded mangrove forest have been adopted, with 50 hectares reforested in just three years.
Over 800,000 mangrove trees have been planted, with a target of 5 million in the next decade.
This effort, in collaboration with KFS, NEMA, schools, and local communities, not only improves livelihoods but also contributes significantly to the fight against climate change along the pipeline corridor.
