    A new report by the Anti-Counterfeit Authority highlights the most counterfeited goods within Kenya's metal and allied sector.

    Smelting and hot rolling products are the most frequently counterfeited, accounting for a significant 65.56% of reported cases.

    This is closely followed by cold rolling products at 60.26%, indicating a major problem across primary metal processing.

    Wire converter products also face substantial counterfeiting at 56.29%. Further down the list, steel fabricated products and aluminium products are counterfeited at 45.03% and 44.37% respectively, demonstrating a broad impact on the manufacturing supply chain.

    Tubes represent 33.77% of counterfeited goods, with "Others" making up a small fraction at 0.66%. These figures underscore a critical challenge for legitimate businesses and consumer safety in Kenya's metal industry.
