In Summary








    A Tifa poll, released on May 28, 2025, highlights the primary factors Kenyans believe are undermining national development.

    Corruption stands out as the leading concern, cited by 42 per cent of respondents.

    Poor leadership is the second most significant factor at 30 per cent.

    Tribalism/Ethnic Tensions, inflation/high cost of living and external debt each account for 5 pwe cent.

    Unemployment is perceived by 2 per cent as undermining development, while high taxation by another 2 per cent.

    Citizens' failings (Ignorance, Laziness, Lack of Patriotism) is at 1 per cent, with 'other' and 'not sure/NR' at 4 per cent and 5 per cent respectively.
