The State of Media Report 2024 reveals that most Kenyans watch TV for 1–2 hours daily, with this segment representing the largest viewership.

About 35 per cent fall into this category, suggesting moderate consumption, possibly for news or entertainment.

Those watching for 3–4 hours make up the next significant group, while shorter sessions (30 mins–1 hour or less than 30 mins) are less common.

Extended viewing (5–6 hours or more than 6 hours) is rare, indicating that TV competes with other media or activities.

These patterns reflect a balanced approach to TV consumption, with peak interest likely during prime-time programming.
