
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on May 15 said that the Kenyan Kwanza has made great strides in bringing reforms to the education sector.
In a statement after receiving a progress report on the implementation of education reforms from Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba and the Ministry of Education heads of relevant agencies, Kindiki, the achievements are part of the administration's manifesto under the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
He noted that so far, Kenya Kwanza, under the leadership of President William Ruto has employed at least 76,000 teachers.
He said the administration aims to employ 40,000 more teachers before the next general elections.
