The government is implementing a multi-pronged approach to mitigate human-wildlife conflict.

This includes deploying problem animal control units and early warning systems.

They are also promoting coexistence through electric fences, predator-proof enclosures, and the establishment of a Human-Wildlife Coexistence Fund for compensation and insurance.

Efforts are underway to strengthen conservancies, train communities in mitigation techniques like ecotourism and beekeeping, and utilise data to target conflict hotspots with technologies such as drones and camera traps.

This is according to the State Department for Wildlife report.
