Road accidents: The risk factors

According to the WHO, about 1.19 million people die each year globally from road crashes.

WHO says males are 3 times more likely to be killed in road crashes than females.

92 per cent of the world's fatalities on the roads occur in low- and middle-income countries.

WHO states that more than half of all road traffic deaths are among pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.
