Kenya has made significant strides towards producing clean energy by harnessing power from geothermal, hydro plants, wind turbines, and solar.
As at result November 2023, Kenya was ranked 46th globally on the Energy Transition Index (ETI), scoring 57.8 points.
Kenya's total geothermal power capacity is 988.7MW, putting the country in sixth position globally (and first in Africa) in terms of geothermal power development.
