President William Ruto embarked on a pacification mission targeting key demo hotspots, days after naming opposition bigwigs to his broad-based Cabinet.
The Star established that the Head of State has lined up a series of tours across specific counties to market his government of national unity.
Sources told the Star that some of the areas being lined up for the tours are known Raila Odinga bases that witnessed the worst street protests.
The Star has also established that the President will be touring Nairobi, Western and Nyanza – some of the areas that witnessed massive Gen Z protests.
Makadara MP George Aladwa on Sunday told the Star of planned tours in Nairobi to drum up support for the unity government.
The President is capitalising on his newfound camaraderie with the opposition to appease once-hostile regions.
Ruto on Thursday started a three-day tour of the Coast region where he visited four counties.
