Raila Odinga's ODM party said it will initiate and lead the recall of MPs in at least six constituencies who vote for the Finance Bill 2024.
Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna said the decision was made against MPs whom he termed as repeat offenders.
"These are repeat offenders who voted against the wishes of the people in 2023 and 2024, there are a few who met their Damascus moment," said Sifuna.
Addressing the press in Nairobi after the ODM Central Management Committee meeting chaired by Raila, Sifuna said the recall of the MPs will serve as a lesson.
"We have started with the six so that it serves as a lesson to the rest," he said when asked why the party spared the rest.
