Cervical cancer is the 4th most common cancer among women worldwide, causing an estimated 604,000 new cases and 342,000 deaths annually.
With 5,236 new cases diagnosed every year, Kenya is ranked in the top 20 countries globally with the highst rates of cervical cancer.
The country also has the highest number of cancer-related deaths across East Africa, with cervical cancer accounting for 3211 deaths annually.
