The notice appearing on a weekly dated December 5, notified all importers that vehicles whose year of first registration is from January 1, 2017, and later shall only be allowed into the country.

The rule affects returning residents, diplomatic staff and the general public.

It further stated that beginning January 1, 2024, only right-hand drive vehicles will be allowed into the country.
