The country will no longer borrow to pay salaries, President William Ruto has said.

He however told civil servants their delayed March paycheques will hit their accounts soon.

The President gave the assurance as the Opposition talked tough, warning the government against any plans to retrench civil servants as a remedy to the economic crisis.
