Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Friday released Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education results.
The CS made the announcement at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) offices.
1,146 candidates attained a mean grade of A in the 2022 KCSE.
Speaking during the release of the KCSE results, Machogu said it was an increase as compared to 2021 results.
"Candidates that attained a mean of A in 2022 are 1,146 which is equivalent to 0.13 per cent as compared to 2012 which were 1,138," he said.
And as was the case with the KCPE results, the CS is not expected to reveal which candidate or school performed best in the exams.
This is in keeping with the new government policy of discouraging unhealthy competition between schools and candidates.
