Parliament's Justice and Legal Affairs Committee on Thursday started removal hearings of the four dissenting IEBC commissioners.
Four petitioners want the commissioners who differed openly with chairman Wafula Chebukati over the presidential election results removed from office.
They want vice chairperson Juliana Cherera and commissioners Justus Nyang'aya, Irene Masit and Francis Wanderi indicted by the committee for for gross misconduct and violation of the Constitution.
The Azimio wing of Parliament has opposed their removal saying the committee lacks jurisdiction to prosecute the matter.
Azimio leader Raila Odinga has termed the process vindictive and vile and warned that there will be consequences should the process proceed.
He said he will personally lead a pushback against President William Ruto over the issue.
