legislator who had declared interest in a governor seat in the 2027 election
seems to be reconsidering the decision. The politician had declared to
challenge a popular incumbent — who has been widely celebrated for his work —
targeting a ticket from one of the popular parties in the region. However, the
former MP has started undertaking opinion polls, some using leading digital
practitioners from the region, to gauge his chances of dislodging the governor.
He reportedly fears sinking millions in a campaign that he won't succeed as he
did in the last elections. Notably, the said governor hasn’t lost a single
election since he joined politics.

Questions are emerging over the role of a woman politician,
who has been appearing in the inner circles of top and powerful politicians.
While the woman has been laying ground to seek a parliamentary seat in one of
the urban constituencies, her current role is unknown, even by officials
handling some of the leaders. She was recently seen in a chartered plane that
was reportedly dispatched to pick a senior politician from a popular capital. A
protocol officer was overheard apparently saying they are sometimes helpless in
handling the woman as they don’t know who exactly the powerful hand behind her
is.
