A two-term legislator has stirred debate after bragging to colleagues about how he allegedly used his influence to intimidate a state agency into issuing him a crucial academic certificate. The lawmaker, who once chaired a powerful committee, reportedly told associates that he had struggled to obtain the document long before joining Parliament but failed. However, after his election and subsequent rise to the committee chairmanship, he frequently summoned the agency’s top officials and supposedly threatened them with dire consequences. In the end, he allegedly managed to secure the certificate.
