SOME KENYANS ARE in shock. Why? They have been denied visas
to a super power country over posts they made on their social media, some as
old as 10 years ago. One of those affected and who works in the communication
sector as a manager was shocked to receive a negative verdict from the embassy
over the post he made in 2012. He has now gone back to delete any post he made
deemed offensive. He was heard saying out of a group of 38 who had applied, 20
were turned down over their posts. Interestingly, there are no visa fee refund.

A FORMER GOVERNOR has triggered talks in the county with his
latest political activities. The man has suddenly activated his political
activities, holding large delegations and allegedly dishing out money. His game plan remains unclear. Some sources
say the man is planning to run for a constituency seat while others say he is
targeting a bigger office. Initially however, there were indications that the
man was dead broke. The latest activities have sent local politicians into a
state of confusion with those eyeing various elective jobs thrown back to the
drawing board.

JUST WHY IS a seasoned lawmaker hell-bent on attacking a top
state official? This is the question some lawmakers were heard asking
themselves. The MP has reportedly sustained verbal attacks on the officer,
accusing him of graft and incompetence. While some say the two fell out over a
business deal gone sour, others says their difference is political. Whichever
way, the lawmaker's attack has hit a high, exposing the two who apparently
belong to the same political wing.

THE SUDDEN SHIFT of focus to some civil servants in an
alleged ongoing onslaught from the opposition has left one of those targeted in
dilemma. The official has not been in such a situation before and was heard
inquiring if he can go on social media or mainstream media to give a rejoinder.
He is however unsure if he would be accused of partisanship while he should be
apolitical. However, the man has vowed to defend himself using all machinery
available at his disposal.
