more time abroad than anyone else in his department and is notorious for insisting on attending
every international conference to which he is
invited, regardless of relevance. Most recently,
he allegedly added his name to a delegation for
a conference that did not require his presence,
along with his usual “support system”. Despite
protests from senior staff, he bulldozed his way
through. Now, questions are being raised about
the value of the trips and the officer’s insatiable
appetite for allowances.

after facing a hostile reception during a recent funeral. The legislator, who has been critical of a key
political figure from the area, including allegedly
participating in efforts to kick him out, had spent

developed cold feet. This came after a powerful
political figure from the region sternly warned him
against running against the sitting governor. The
influential lawmaker, who enjoys significant clout
within the corridors of power, reportedly gave
the county boss a dressing down during a funeral
gathering. While the senior officer has yet to
withdraw from the race publicly, he has privately
told allies that he plans to scale down his political
activities. Some of the coordination offices he
had set up to support his bid have already been
shut down.

for routine maintenance, in what appears to be
a move to frustrate him. He has also reportedly
been locked out of his posh office, amid speculation about an imminent sacking.
