The top management of a leading state agency, which regulates a crucial sector could be in trouble. The development comes after it emerged that senior officers are pocketing millions of shillings from CEOs of certain companies. The companies, which were recently involved in a multimillion deal, are allegedly paying hefty bribes to the regulator ostensibly to protect them. There has been negative press about the firms, with other players in the market questioning how they were picked by the regulator. Recently, one of the CEOs was heard bragging how he has roots in government, adding that their contracts will be extended despite the uproar.
